I find that it is important every day to review the day before and write down everything I ate, what I did well and what I didn’t do well. In order to have healthy self worth, having self awareness is very important. I log everything I’ve eaten the day before to make sure I’m eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and that I’m staying away from dangerous processed foods and sugar. Upon reviewing my day I know if I need to make an amends to anyone because having self worth means you’re accountable for your words and actions. I also see where I can do better the next day as well as congratulate myself for things I have done well.

Daily AEIOU Plus Y and G

A – Appetite

Breakfast – Apple

Lunch – Salad with kale, spinach, red beans, beets and carrots

Snack – Raspberries

Dinner – Talpaia fish with grilled vegetables

E – Exercise

No exercise yesterday but will do today.

I – Myself

I put down some boundaries and said no to doing something. I was taking care of myself. I usually say yes to everything. I’m learning to say no.

O – Others

Bought a friend at work a gift and card for her 4 year old boy’s birthday the video she sent me when he opened the gift made my day.

U – Uncover Feelings (what was the predominant feeling you had yesterday? And what could you do better?)

I felt restless and impatient as I do today. I sent out a lot of writing materials (articles, outline, etc.) and hate the waiting game but my job is to do the footwork, the results are up to God. I wish God wouldn’t take so long J

Ummm, be more patient and have faith is what I could have done better yesterday. Maybe be less negative about my career. I need to be okay with everything being exactly the way it’s supposed to be. (Baruch Hashem).

Seeing my friend’s little boy opening my gift for him.

G- Gratitude (List 3 things you are grateful for)

I’m grateful for meetings, recovery and program; I’m grateful for hope; I’m grateful for my job
