I find that it is important every day to review the day before and write down everything I ate, what I did well and what I didn’t do well. In order to have healthy self worth having self awareness is very important. I log everything I’ve eaten the day before to make sure I’m eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and that I’m staying away from dangerous processed foods and sugar. Upon reviewing my day I know if I need to make an amends to anyone because having self worth means you’re accountable for your words and actions. I also see where I can do better the next day as well as congratulate myself for things I have done well.

A – Appetite
Breakfast – Spelt cereal and goat milk (yeah I know, super Whole Foodsy)
Lunch – Salad with kale, spinach, chicken, red beans, carrots and beets
Snack – Almonds, cashews and an apple
Dinner – Grilled chicken and minestrone soup
E – Exercise
Sadly, I’m not a very sporty girl who always got picked last in school for team sports. I need to the gym more often.
I – Myself
What I did for myself yesterday – I went to acupuncture and I meditated.
O – Others
What I did for others yesterday – I did my commitment at a recovery meeting yesterday, I helped a friend out whose is dealing with a lot of death in the family.
U – Uncover Feelings (what was the predominant feeling you had yesterday? And what could you do better?)
I was excited yesterday about my new blog but also anxious/fearful about it. I’m hoping people connect with the Self Worth Diet and that the blog will serve to enlighten and uplift people. I could have had more faith yesterday and also, I need to stop stealing Megan’s salad dressing at work. I will make an amends for that today.
